2025 Hair Trends for Long Hair

Enough of the bell-bottom bobs, textured lobs, and asymmetrical crops. If Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2025 is any indication, the new year will bring hip-length locks and extra-long curls. From Naomi Campbell’s shining strands at the Ralph Lauren show to the soft, ethereal waves seen at Chloé, we forecast even more dramatic length at the salon in 2025.

Don’t miss out on this latest hair wave. Extensions allow wearers to embrace fresh styles with the freedom to return to their original look when a new season arrives. Read on for the top 2025 hair trends: long hair edition.

90s Blowout

The Sabrina Carpenter bang circulating salons at the start of 2024 should have been the first indication of things to come. Gone are the days of barely there, wispy strands that wind up tucked behind your ears (at least, for the most part). 2025 hair trends champion heavy, full fringes and amplified volume worthy of Cindy Crawford.

To pull off this fluffy, bouncy style, stylist @jam.ramoneshair used our 21” Tape-In Extensions in shades 60A and 8/25/60A/20B, combining short and long layers for added body. When the natural hair cannot achieve dramatic volume, extensions can do much of the work for you.

Sunflower Blonde

Speaking of the “Short n’ Sweet” singer, her signature warm waves see no sign of fading any time soon when it comes to 2025 hair color trends. Golden and rich, Sunflower Blonde marks a retreat from winter’s typical icy hues in favor of a more striking shade. While the color may seem more apt for summer, many are turning to this blonde for its easier upkeep and softer finish.

The trend-hesitant can experiment with the new color, commitment free, with a seamless extension blend. Salon owner @envoguebycalli, for instance, opted for Machine Wefts in shade 8/25/60/20B to achieve the “Espresso” singer’s full, golden waves.

Sleek & Straight

From hair gloss to “glass hair,” ultra-smooth, shining strands now rival the demand for polished skin. Whether its Tory Burch’s slicked-back, half-up hairstyles featured in her 2025 Spring Ready-To-Wear collection or Demi Moore’s pin-straight locks at the 2024 Met Gala, we’re chasing glistening hair in the year ahead.

But replicating the style requires more than having a flat iron on hand. As hairstylist @danerdos demonstrated with one row of our Double Hand Tied Wefts, the illusion of hyper-sleek tresses comes from boosted length and fullness as well.

Terracopper

Coined by professional stylist and trend forecaster Tom Smith, you likely associate this rich shade with Chappel Roan’s famed locks. With more striking red tones than a cowboy copper, the warmth of terracopper also brightens up the skin. Hairstylist @glammedbysophi achieved this bleach-free blend with our 21” Tape-In Extensions in shades #33, #34, and #140.

Soft Waves

Perhaps a twist on indie sleaze, perhaps a callback to the loose locks of the 70s, relaxed and long waves reemerged this trend cycle and will likely continue on to 2025. As seen at Tommy Hilfiger’s latest New York Fashion Week collection and Sienna Miller’s 2024 Met Gala appearance, these waves are intentionally messy, imperfect, and lived in.

For those who don’t wake up with a mermaid mane, start by building volume with tape-in extensions (or specifically 21” Tapes in shades #4, #4/18, and #4/8/5B as @kellyblanch crafted below). Quickly style with a hair waver and dry texture spray day-to-day.

Natural with a Twist

As we all seek a “winter glow-up," 2025 hairstyles will likely swap more high-maintenance, summer shades for something closer to one’s natural color. Try playing with the natural base slightly by featuring a color just lighter than the root at the mid-lengths and ends. Extension specialist @nicholechavonne, for example, created this two-tone look by selecting our 17” Tape-In Extensions in color #8. Bonus: wearing extensions requires no hair bleach, so salon guests can prolong their hair health all year long.

Pop of Blue

On the other hand, Chet Lo’s blue extension selection at SS25 London Fashion Week proves that we still have room for a fun hair trend. With striking neon blue pieces set against straight, black strands, Lo’s high-contrast look called out a Y2K staple. Extension specialist @sigrunekeland created this startling hair upgrade by custom coloring our Tape-In Extensions—ready to remove when a new trend hits the salons.

Whichever hair trends for 2025 you choose from this list, we can’t wait to see your transformations and creativity!
